TECHNICIAN / TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (M&E)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular inspection of common areas for building defects, deterioration and effect repairs
- Inspect and identify the source of building water seepages such as leakages through slabs and ensure the contractors carry out the rectification works accordingly
- Respond to feedback on rectification in residents’ units for internal building defects and damages
- Attend to residents’ complaints and feedback due to power tripping, outage, burst water pipes or blockages to waste pipes or sewer pipes
- Train and guide general workers to execute maintenance and repair works
- Supervise and monitor out tasked works executed by contractors
- Maintain and ensure workability of all recreational and leisure equipment at the facilities
- Inspect and perform minor repair works for the gym equipment and ensure overall cleanliness of the gym
- Repair fans, beds, lockers, windows and any other equipment
- Inspect fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, hydrants, pumps and water tanks
- Inspect the sewer inspection chambers and clear any blockages from the inspection chambers, sewer lines and surface drains
- Attend to the maintenance of building services at the satellite dormitories and commercially leased accommodations
- Support the superiors in all other functions necessary to achieve and fulfil department goals
- Perform any other duties assigned by Technical & Safety Manager / Operations Manager
Requirements:
- Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC in Mechanical and Electrical Services or equivalent
- At least 2 years relevant of working experience
- Proficient in English
- Certified in Fire Safety or trained in CERT, First Aid & AED will be advantageous
- Preferably with prior experience in migrant workers dormitory or managing large group of migrant workers
